Remove silence from video

Generate captions for your video, then press Cut silences in the Captions panel. Editr takes out every pause longer than a fraction of a second, with a little padding so speech is not clipped, and closes the gaps on every track.

How does it know where the silences are?

It uses the gaps between the captions it generated from the speech.

Is Editr free?

You can start for free: sign in with Google and open the studio. The plans and what each one includes are on the pricing page.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Editr runs in a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge or Safari. There is nothing to install and no plugin to add.

Are my videos uploaded?

No. The video files you add stay on your device, in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers.
