Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use tryeditr.com, the Editr captions app and our plugins (together, the Service). By creating an account or buying from us you agree to them.
1. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to it secure. You must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission. Tell us at hello@tryeditr.com if you think someone else has access to your account.
2. What you can do
You may use the Service for your own work or for your clients' work. You may not resell, share or reverse engineer the Service, bypass usage limits or licence checks, attack or overload it, or use it to process content you have no right to use or that is unlawful.
3. Captions plans and usage
The Free plan includes 2 hours of caption generation each month; Starter includes 10 hours and Pro 20 hours, as shown on the pricing page, along with storage (1, 10 and 20 GB). Allowances reset on the 1st of each month and unused time does not carry over. Paid plans renew every month until you cancel; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
4. Plugins and licence keys
Plugins such as Quickbar Pro are sold as a one-time purchase. A purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the plugin on the number of devices your plan includes (Single: 2 devices; Team: one device per seat). Your licence key is shown in your account while your licence is active. Keys must not be shared or published. We may suspend a licence that is shared, resold or used beyond its device limit. You can remove a device from your account at any time to free a seat.
5. Prices, payment and coupons
Prices are shown in US dollars; your bank may show the local-currency amount. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, and we never see your full card details. Coupons have a limited number of uses, an expiry date, and may be restricted to certain products or to one use per customer. They have no cash value, cannot be combined or resold, and we may cancel coupons that are abused. See our Refund Policy for refunds and cancellations.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the videos, audio and captions you upload or create. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service to you. Projects and uploaded files are deleted automatically after 24 hours on the Free plan and after 7 days on paid plans, so export your work before then. You promise that you have the rights to what you upload.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Automatic captions can contain mistakes, so please check them before you publish. We may change or discontinue features, and we will update these terms when we do. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, abuse coupons or affiliate links, or commit fraud.
9. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
